In November of 2021, CEO Demetria Goode,  founded The Goode Fight, after she was brutally beaten and stabbed by her Ex six times in 2013. Burdened by trauma and pain, she believed it would stop in death, and attempted to take her own life. Demetria’s plan was interrupted, when her youngest daughter described how much she loved and adored her. From that point she took on a new, positive, and fresh outlook on life. 
Determined to heal, she began the process of loving herself in the past, present and future. Obstacle after obstacle, Demetria started to confront, accept and acknowledge what it was she did have control over in her life. The road to healing would form the foundation and basis of the inception of The Goode Fight.
The mission of The Goode Fight is to positively impact the lives of victims affected by domestic violence or life trauma.

For over 20 years, Hawah has been teaching violence prevention, social-emotional literacy, conflict transformation, the healing arts, trauma-informed care, mindfulness& yoga to all types of students, from diverse demographics, around the globe.  Since childhood, Hawah's been exposed to the living traditions, culture, philosophy, & practices of his ancestral homeland of India, & offers a rare perspective on Eastern & Western dichotomies. Hawah is co-founder & former Exec Director of OCU, an award-winning non-profit impacting over 40,000 youth & families. Hawah's made appearances on XM Radio, BBC, Fox News, NBC, ABC, CNN, The Washington Post, NPR, Al Jazeera & more. Recently, he helped launch a 125-acre BIPOC led regenerative farm & healing arts center. He's authored 4 books & produced 3 documentary films, including acclaimed, “Fly By Light.”
